ApartmentMatching.com's History and Future
ApartmentMatching.com began in early 1998 as a result of a chance meeting between two former acquaintances, one of which was an idealistic Entrepreneur and the other an aggressive Apartment Locator. It wasn't long before these two ambitious individuals began tossing around ideas on how to make apartment finding quicker and less of a hassle. It was decided early on that the Internet was the way to go.

It was soon discovered that apartment finder web sites already existed, but at the same time none of them were done the right way. After over a year of brainstorming, data-gathering, and picking apart the competition, the birth of ApartmentMatching.com came about. The idea of creating an on-line software package that was comprehensive yet easy to use for both apartment hunters and apartment managers was realized. The task of creating this application and still maintaining the human element of apartment locators would not be an easy one. A team of expert developers was brought together to turn the ideas of a few into the reality of millions.

After months of hard work from a dedicated group of people, Phase I of ApartmentMatching.com was launched in August of 2000. The Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex was the first to see ApartmentMatching.com and soon the entire United States would be able to take part in this new innovation of apartment finding.

ApartmentMatching.com continues to expand and branch off into different areas. The goal from its beginning has been to become a central marketplace for the multi-family industry while never losing sight of the human element, even on the world wide web.
